Brief description
This figurehead, called Angus, is thought to be Scottish though his plaid is repainted. He was found in the Nail Cellars where Topsham fishermen kept their nets on the first floor.
Mr J Voysey said their ketches were made with figure heads.
Bought for 25/- (£1.25p) at a Vicarage sale in 1938?. Given to Topsham Musuem by Peter Longridge.
Height 740mm, 340mm across shoulders.
